They also made this ridiculous Double Mamba turboprop, which turned contra-rotating propellers via a gearbox. They stuffed it into the front of the Fairey Gannet.

We need more hood ornaments. Seems to me that if a 4,000 lb vehicle hits you, the hood ornament is the last of your worries.
